Editorial Policy

Q.U.A. 4 U exists to document mistreatment and injustice with sources a reader can check themselves — not to accuse anyone based on rumor. This page explains how a claim gets on the site, what the confidence labels mean, and how to get something fixed.

What counts as a source

Every factual claim in a case should point to something a reader can independently verify: a court record or docket, a police or agency report, reporting from an established news outlet, an official statement from an involved party or organization, or original video/photo evidence with visible time, date, or location context. A social media post by someone describing their own situation is a source for what they claim happened — it is not, by itself, verification that it did.

Confidence labels

Verified at least one primary source or established reporting confirms the core facts.
Sourced, disputed a source exists, but a party involved disputes it, or two sources conflict.
Under review submitted but not yet independently verified. New material under review stays in moderation until it clears review.

Claims that name a private individual and rely on a single, unverified source are never published automatically. A human reviews them before publication.

Corrections

When we are told about a factual error and can confirm it, we correct it. Every editorial edit to a case can be logged with a date and a one-line note in the Case history section. We do not silently turn allegations into facts or erase the record of a correction.

If a correction removes a claim entirely rather than fixing it, the case history should say so and explain why.

How to dispute a case

If you are a party to a case, represent someone who is, or simply think something is wrong, use the Dispute a Case page. Identify the case, what is wrong and, if available, a source supporting the correction.

Right of reply: a person or organization named in a case can submit a response. Once its origin is verified, it can be attached to that case record.

What this site is not

Q.U.A. 4 U reports claims and the sources behind them; it does not adjudicate guilt. A case appearing here is not a legal finding. Where a court case, agency investigation or other formal process is ongoing, the record should say so and be updated as it develops.
