Michael P. Desronvil

Michael P. Desronvil was a juror in Lindsay Clancy’s 2026 trial. Reporting after the mistrial identified him as the juror who did not join the other eleven jurors in supporting a verdict of not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility.

After the trial, Desronvil said publicly that he believed Lindsay was guilty based on the evidence. He also said he had disclosed a previous arrest and denied lying on his juror questionnaire. The completed questionnaire is confidential, so the public record does not establish exactly what he wrote on it.

Reporting based on public court records described a 2021 domestic-assault-and-battery charge involving his then-wife; the charge was later dismissed and did not result in a conviction. The reporting also described allegations involving his then 13-year-old nephew and a later civil restraining order obtained by the nephew. Those allegations are not presented here as criminal convictions.

Juror Nick Dargie later said Desronvil used an exercise band and a water bottle during deliberations to reenact the strangulation evidence. That is Dargie’s account of deliberations, not a court finding. Judge William Sullivan later ordered the official juror list sealed indefinitely because of safety and privacy concerns; Desronvil’s identity had already been reported publicly.
